Floyd Green CPA PC is a privately owned CPA firm.  Our CPA firm specializes in advising nonprofit tax-exempt organizations. We advise, consult and assist organizations nationwide with preparing and submitting IRS applications for tax-exempt status, including 501(c)(3) organizations. Over the past 20 years, we have successfully helped establish more than 12,000 nonprofit organizations, achieving a 99% IRS approval rate on completed applications.

Build Your Organization On A Strong Foundation

Starting a nonprofit organization is about more than filing paperwork. It is about creating an organization that is properly structured, tax compliant, and prepared to pursue its mission for years to come. Whether you are establishing a charitable organization, educational program, religious ministry, scholarship fund, or private foundation, we provide experienced guidance throughout every stage of the formation process.

At Floyd Green CPA, we help individuals, community leaders, churches, and organizations navigate the requirements for obtaining federal tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3). Our goal is to make the process straightforward while helping you avoid costly mistakes that can delay approval.

Why Work With Floyd Green CPA?

Starting a nonprofit involves important tax, and organizational decisions. Rather than simply preparing forms, we work with you to understand your mission, explain the available options, and help establish an organization that is built for long-term success.

When you work with our firm, you receive professional guidance from a CPA experienced in nonprofit taxation and compliance. We answer your questions, explain the requirements in plain language, and remain available throughout the process.

Simple Formation Process

Step 1 – Tell Us About Your Mission. Every nonprofit begins with an idea. We discuss your organization’s purpose, planned activities, leadership structure, and long-term goals. This initial consultation helps determine the most appropriate organizational approach before any documents are prepared.

Step 2 – We Prepare Your Formation Documents. Once we understand your organization, we prepare the documents necessary to establish your nonprofit corporation. We also assist with obtaining your Employer Identification Number (EIN) and preparing the organizational documents required for IRS recognition.

Step 3- IRS Tax Exempt Application. We prepare your application for federal tax-exempt status and carefully review every section before submission. Our objective is to present a complete, organized application that accurately reflects your organization’s charitable purpose and planned operations.

Step 4 – IRS Review. If the IRS requests additional information, we continue working with you throughout the review process. We prepare responses, answer questions, and help keep your application moving toward approval.

Step 5 – After Approval. Receiving your IRS determination letter is an important milestone, but it is only the beginning. We continue supporting many of our nonprofit clients with annual tax filings, accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and ongoing compliance services.
